Discover NAME
When you think of Northern Africa and the Middle East (NAME), there is often a sense of "the exotic". For others there is a sense of ancient history, or maybe you just think of the evening news. From the western shores of Morocco, across the Sahara Desert and along the southern Mediterranean coastline to the Arabian Peninsula; from the upper reaches of ancient Mesopotamia in Syria and Iraq to the Banaadir Hinterlands of Somalia; from scattered desert villages to massive urban sprawls—what God sees is millions of people searching for hope in the midst of immense spiritual darkness.
There was a time when Christianity spread across the region. Over the centuries, people groups who had previously been followers of Jesus have turned to Islam and various tribal religious beliefs. True knowledge of God has been all but eradicated by religions seeking God, yet never knowing close personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
God desires that all nations, tribes, tongues and peoples come to know Him. He has given us a worthwhile task that unites us: to pursue the unshakable Kingdom of God throughout Northern Africa and the Middle East and beyond.
Our Mission
We want to see God glorified in multiplying Church Planting Movements through all the people groups and cities of Northern Africa and the Middle East and beyond. We understand our role as disciples and disciple-makers as the primary means to this end. Our basic tasks, therefore, are evangelizing, making disciples, forming groups and starting multiplying churches.
